When Isaac's mother starts hearing the voice of God demanding a sacrifice be made to prove her faith, Isaac escapes into the basement facing droves of deranged enemies, lost brothers and sisters, his fears, and eventually his mother. Where Super Meat Boy is more of a nod to the platformers of yesteryear, The Binding of Isaac is something. The two games, however, couldn't be more different. It's Edmund McMillen's follow-up to his first hit (which he co-developed), Super Meat Boy, which we loved. Describing The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ is no simple task.
